The Nakazawa laboratory, Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, Keio University conducts research and development aimed at realizing intelligent information environment computing so that computers embedded in various places and various forms can be easily used for human activities.

Until now computers were tools that only certain people use at homes or offices. However, with the development of hardware technology, computers have become smaller and are beginning to be incorporated into information home appliances, sensor devices, and various electronic devices around us. In our laboratory, we aim to spread these devices not only in homes and offices, but also in automobiles, railway cars, public buildings such as museums and railway stations, and public spaces such as roads and parks. We call this “Intellectual Information Environment” where we support various activities conducted by humans to go smoothly, and in our laboratory, we are divided into research groups according to our field of interests.

The 3rdregional IoT and Information Power Symposium will be held on November 29, 2019. We will be introducing various industry-government-academia research and projects aimed at building a smart city that uses the power of information to enrich people’s lives. We look forward to your participation.
